Barre

Barre is a combination of Yoga flows, Ballet conditioning and Pilates.

We’ll flow through a warm up then move onto some upper body work, lower body strengthening at the barre, and finish off with some core work to tie it all together.

We strengthen the muscles, then we stretch them out; helping to create long, lean muscles instead of that bulky gym look we’re all too familiar with.

After we cool down, we finish with the ultimate reward… RELAXATION aka ‘Savasana’. If you’re not familiar with yoga, all you need to know is you get a couple of minutes of total bliss at the end of class. Just lie down, close your eyes, breathe and thank yourself for a killer workout.

There are different classes to suit everyone. And when you work out in a studio as pretty as ours, you won’t want to stay away, no matter how deeply you feel that burn.

*No dance experience necessary.

Bike

Picture this; you strap on your cycling shoes (we’ve got you covered), enter a dark room, find your bike and clip in. A catchy song starts to blast through the speakers and the light show begins – just makes you want to dance, doesn’t it?!

Well you’re in luck – ‘cause we ride to the beat. Forget everything you thought you knew about spin class, because this is far from it. In fact, the only similarity to your ‘average gym style class’ is the fact that you’re riding a stationary bike.

What makes our spin classes unique? Our Instructors! You’ll feel their passion & commitment from the moment you walk through the door. Each class is different; with a new playlist and choreography created every time. The beat is what drives us; but it’s the 25 people moving in sync, side by side that creates the magic you feel each and every time you ride.

A challenge for beginners and athletes alike, you’ll sweat like you’ve never sweat before. Trust us when we say this workout is addictive & like nothing else you’ve tried before.

*No dance or cycle experience necessary!

WHAT TO WEAR

We suggest fitted clothing that won’t restrict your movement – leggings/tights, bike shorts, lightweight t-shirts or singlets always do the trick. You’re gonna get sweaty, just keep that in mind when choosing your wardrobe! We provide free sweat towels and sell socks in case you forget to bring your own.

CYCLE SHOES

We’ll provide you with special cycling shoes that clip into the pedals, securely connecting your legs to the bike. This connection provides a safer ride and allows you to spend more time up out of the saddle engaging different muscles and getting more out of your workout. These shoes are free of charge, just come and see us at reception prior to class. Feel free to BYO shoes as long as the cleats are SPD compatible.

ARRIVE

The studio doors open 15 minutes prior to class start time. If it’s your first class, we suggest arriving 10 minutes early so we can sign you in, show you around and get you set up properly (especially for bike classes).

Everyone else, we always recommend arriving at least 5 minutes early to give you enough time to sign in and either find a mat in the barre room or put on your shoes and find your bike. Doors will close and class will begin promptly – we don’t allow late arrivals as this disrupts class and increases the chance of injury by missing the warmup.

HYDRATE

Water, water, water! Bring it with you to each class and take a drink whenever you need. Keep your fluids up before, during and after your workout and remember, the more you sweat, the more you need to drink.

We sell bottled water, as well as drink bottles if you forget your own. We also have a water refill station - we’ve got you covered!

PARKING

There is limited parking available in front of the studio. There is ample free street parking out front, and the Sunshine Plaza carpark is just across the road if you get really desperate. Parking can be tricky during peak times so please allow extra time for this.
